I had paid for a 3Shape Dental System license, but I cannot justify the price anymore. Are there any other solutions My lab is able to take the scan and send me the dcm files, but this doesnt convert the occlusion scan.
It was quite easy with the Dental System and being able to export the stl. Is there anything else that can do it like this Thanks, Kunal. Dicom To Stl Converter Software Software Conversion ButI would go for the official 3shape software conversion but the price for a simple pluginaddition is ridiculous to the extreme. Dicom To Stl Converter Software Free Or ANot sure if this will be free or a one time fee, but it IS coming. Or, make friends with a lab who has Inbox, and who will spend the 20 seconds to export the stl for you for nothing other than your business when you send it. It is crazy they have a closed system and require so much money and fees. You can section the parts out that you want as stl or the whole image. I didnt know anything about this til just yesterday when I asked someone, and I used the 3shape scanner for 8 months. I stand corrected.apparently 3Shape has named their files.dcm, but they are not in anyway related to the true medical.dcm DICOM files. I dont know why 3 Shape named theirs the same, although I can imagine. Stay tuned OP karabear Active Member Full Member Aug 31, 2010 Thread Starter 16 We are coming out with a dental CADCAM software called Piano.
